It’s about home and the quadruple plus duty it plays as office, gym, restaurant, entertainment center and retreat.

We’ve built lives in which we barely need to leave home at all. So, what happens to us when home becomes our whole world?

It may be time to say goodbye to summer but you don’t have to say goodbye to summer’s best produce. I love summer corn so come late August or September I buy a few dozen ears, shuck them, blanche them and throw them into freezer bags so I have them all winter long. It’s the best thing ever. Simple, nutritious and the easiest thing in the world to do. N B x

With summer’s rest and invigorated energy, it’s the perfect time to ask yourself what you’ve been meaning to do, and what’s really keeping you from doing it.

I’m also beginning to wonder if some of the most consequential people in our lives are actually the ones who are a little, or a lot, different from ourselves.

Connection is about recognition, yes. But it’s also about difference which leads expansion. Maybe the idea that opposites attract has something to teach us after all.
